Day 3
The best poached eggs this side of the 12 Bens were served up this morning with the tastiest sausages and of course a vegetarian option was on offer! Just as well as students had another day jam packed with workshops, games and music. The sun was out, the air was warm and the sky was blue. A perfect start to any day.
Maths workshops explored Fibonacci and patterns and the Golden Ratio while Chuck Challenges looked at electricity and how we can create fire with old batteries and steel wool. Alternative methods included flint and knife while they also tried out the Native Indian Pump Drills. Caoimhe and the maths teach looked at binary notation which will help in the Coding and Robotics workshops coming up during the week, even writing their names in Binary Notation. Videoing flight paths and graphing them, testing frequencies and demonstrating angular momentum were among many of the Chuck Challenges.
Caroline introduce students to writing and creating sound tracks in Music Technology workshops and how to use push controllers to mix on the fly.
There was even time to play ultimate frisbee in the beautiful evening sun. Nothing like a a game of table tennis or pool to unwind after supper before getting a well earned rest.
Here are some of the images from today…..see you all tomorrow!
