Building a two string guitar, discovering what sound is, exploring how we manipulate sound to communicate through speech or music and imagining an insightful and informative graphic description of how the strings on a guitar move when plucked was what filled the minds of our Group 1 students this morning while the other filled the air with created tracks including using synthesised sampling. A wonderful start to the day. Check out the tracks below.
Mark and Caoimhe continued the Pythagoras themed week with some unit circle and Pythagorus Puzzles in the Great Room.
The Great Raft Race Challenge was run on the lake after each team had built their raft and carried them down to the lake. Brilliant race with a very close finish. Both rafts deserved a round of applause! Great work by the students!
Calligraphy was the surprise hit of the summer! Many students chose to continue with it after the scheduled workshop came to a close and Chuck gladly facilitated. Some natural talent there no doubt about it! Check some of their work below.
Chuck Challenges have just finished and students are enjoying supper and getting ready for a whole school sports competition!
See you all tomorrow!
