It was a sunny morning and the birds were singing at Kylemore Abbey, the perfect start to a hair raising morning on the Giant Swing and High Ropes!
The birds weren’t the only ones singing this eve…..but that’s another story!

Students had to overcome their fear of heights to complete the task of being the pendulum in our mathematics experiment. (Other days can be viewed here: Day 1 Day 2 Day 3)
Followed by some sailing before students start to build their boat….only one day left to launch day!!
It was a little too much for Chuck…
After some gorgeous beef stew prepared by Josie and Trish, it was time to explore timelines, frequencies and music technology.
But the truly hair raising factor today was Wes Hoolahan’s unbelievable missed goal chance against Italy immediately followed by his equally brilliant and perfectly judged pass to Brady to beat the Italians 1-0! COYBIG!
Our Italian students were in great voice before the game and made the occasion all the better! (We fancy Italy to win the tournament). We have so much more to do this week like Virtual Reality, Boat Building, Sailing, Film Production and Coding….not to mention Chuck’s activities using Archimedes’ principle to work out how many bottles we’ll need to keep the boat afloat….yikes! How are we going to fit it all in? Impossible? …….Never!
Another great day at Kylemore Abbey!
Tomorrow morning students will finish their compositions…. see you all then!
