Summer Camps 2024

Important Notice for Parents

Dear Parents,

We would like to thank you most sincerely for choosing Connemara Maths Academy for your children this summer. We are very much looking forward to welcoming all our students, new and returning, to our camps. The exact Google Map location of each camp is available on our Summer Camps page in the main menu above.

Balance Payments are due 8 weeks prior to the summer camp season, and no later than April 23rd 2024.

Check List for Students

Arrival time is Sunday 7pm.

Departure time is Saturday 1pm.

The Presentation For Parents, Family and Friends takes place on Saturday at 12.30pm sharp. Students staying multiple weeks continue with activities for the weekend as usual. Transport between camp locations is provided.

Items to bring include

  • Personally Labelled Refillable Water Bottle
  • 2 towels
  • Old pair of shoes/trainers for water based activities
  • Sports gear (running shoes, shorts, top etc)
  • Sunblock
  • Light anorak/waterproof jacket
  • Swimming gear including cap and goggles
  • Students who wish to bring a wetsuit for the water activities may do so. Most students don’t wear wetsuits on the water during the summer, while some do.
  • We supply all equipment and gear for activities and workshops.

Laundry Service

There is a Laundry service available each week (€15). Laundry is collected on Thursday and returned on Fridays.

Pocket Money/Treats

There is a tuck shop this year on campus, with a limited number of snacks. Any food brought to camp by students should be placed in clearly labelled plastic bags or packs. All food brought on site is collected on arrival and students can take what they need during break time during the day. No food or drinks (except water) is permitted in the dorms at any time.

CMA hoodies (€80), t-shirts (€25) and caps (€20 each) will be available to buy on campus.

Insurance

Citizens of the EU (not from Ireland) relying on the EU Health Insurance should bring their EHIC insurance card with them.  EU Citizens with private health insurance should send a copy to aengus@connemaramathsacademy.com

Non EU Citizens & Students from outside the EU must carry travel & health insurance with them and send a copy to aengus@connemaramathsacademy.com

We recommend all international students carry private health insurance.

Communications during Camp

There is WiFi available and students will have the opportunity to go online to call or send messages to their parents and receive calls from parents during the allocated time just before evening meal at round 4.30/5pm. Parents who wish to contact their children at other times can do so through the main office on 095 31925 or by email info@connemaramathsacademy.com and we will arrange it.

In urgent cases, parents can use the Emergency Whats App Number 086 8772885 to get in touch with us.

DEVICES

All devices are collected on arrival and are given back to students every afternoon at 4.30/5pm for about 30 minutes. This rule is very strictly adhered to and any students found to have brought an additional device with them which they have not declared or are found to have a device on them outside of the allocated times and without permission will be asked to leave the camp. We would also like to make very clear that any bullying of any kind will not be tolerated at any time and students who do not adhere to this zero tolerance rule will be asked to leave. Any student who shows any disrespect of any kind to staff members will be asked to leave.

Multiple Week Stays

Students staying two weeks or more will have activities and meals as usual at the weekend.
